The integration of quantum computing with classical computing is pivotal, but exactly how to do that is not yet known. We discuss both the systems architecture properties and software properties which influence the final productivity of such systems. Finally, we discuss the system software which needs to exist to facilitate the integration of quantum computing.
Martin Ruefenacht is a researcher at LRZ concerned with the integration of HPC and QC. He completed his PhD on improving collective operations on supercomputers at the University of Edinburgh in 2020. He has also earned a Masters of Science by Research in Computer Science and a Masters of Physics also at the University of Edinburgh.
